General Laborer/Fence Installer Positions– Shane Fence

Reporting Location: Shane Fence Hamilton Yard

Typical Hours: Full-time | 40 hours/week | Monday to Friday

Pay: Starting at $25.00/hour (negotiable based on experience)

Start Date: As soon as possible

Employment Type: Permanent

Schedule: Day shifts with occasional weekend and night shift hours

Job Description

We are hiring Fence Installers to join our field crew. This is a physically active, hands-on role working entirely on-site. Employees report each morning to the Shane Fence Hamilton Yard, and transportation is provided to job sites throughout Southern Ontario.

Responsibilities

·         Fence installation and general labor support

·         Loading/unloading materials

·         Site clean-up and safety compliance

·         Occasional night shift or weekend work, particularly for railway projects

·    Operate hand and power tools effectively

Qualifications

• 1 to 2 years of relevant work experience preferred

• No formal education required

• Valid driver’s license

• Physically able to work outdoors in all weather

• Must supply:

  • CSA-approved steel-toed boots

  • CSA-approved hard hat

  • High-visibility orange clothing (required for certain job sites)

• Works well independently and in teams

Compensation and Benefits

• Starting wage: $25.00/hour (negotiable based on experience)
